With Bulgarian names. If the surname ends in 'OV' does that imply that it is a man and if it ends in OVA does it imply its a female of the same family?.Does it also mean they are family members or married?

Well if its similar to Russian, I would surmise that OV is the masculine form and OVA the feminine. As in Pavlov and Pavlova.(the family Pavlov)
